Starting a Website
To create a new website, go to your Client Area -> Websites tab and click on the New Website button.
First, choose the domain name for your website. You can choose between registering a new domain name, using a registered domain you own, or using a temporary domain name:
On the next step, click Select under Start New Website:
Once you indicate you will be starting a new website, you will be able to choose an application to build your site with. The most popular and simple app for starting a new website through the Wizard is WordPress. To select it, simply click Select in the WordPress section.
Next, set up the website login credentials which you will use to access the back-end section of your site where you can manage and add content to your pages. Fill in your email address and add a strong password. To get a random strong password, click Generate. To preview the password, click Unhide (the crossed out eye icon). When you’re ready setting up your login details, click Continue.
On the next screen you will be able to choose what additional services you wish to add to your new site:
- The Site Scanner is a great tool that monitors your site for malicious code and immediately notifies you.
- Domain Privacy is also highly recommended as it hides all your personal information from public lists.
Select your preferences and click Pay Now (or Finish if you don’t want to add additional services).
That’s it! You can now log in to your brand new WordPress install from the link on the install confirmation page.
