How to use Label in Navigation
Menu labels are static elements in a website’s navigation that don’t link to other pages. They help organize the menu and improve user experience by acting as headings, placeholders, and providing direct information.
Label in the Header menu
The main purpose of Labels in the Header’s menu is to serve as parent menu titles for organizing submenus. For instance, a label like “Services” can group related submenu items such as “Consulting,” “Training,” and “Support.” The “Services” label itself doesn’t link to a separate page, but it helps categorize submenu items for easy navigation.
To add a Label to the Header menu:
- Click Edit Website in Site Admin > Website Builder.

- Open the Navigation tab from the left menu toolbar.
- Click the Add Item button.

- In the following pop-up screen, open the Link Type drop-down menu and choose Label.

- In the Label Text field, type the name that will appear in the Header menu.
- Open the Location drop-down menu and select Header.

- Finally, confirm the label with the Save button.

Once the Label is added, you can arrange other menu items as submenus beneath it.
Label in Footer Links
In the Footer, you can also use a label to organize your pages in a submenu. Another common practice for footer labels is to display contact information or an address. For example, a label like “Contact Us” might display static information such as “123 Main Street, Anytown, USA” or a phone number, offering quick access to essential details without redirecting users to another page.
In order to add a Footer label, select Footer Links in the Location drop-down menu of the Add New Item window.

Once the Label is added to the Footer, it can effectively display important information, which can further be organized using submenus, ensuring visitors have easy access to key details without needing to navigate away from the page.
