How to Segment Contacts Based on Their Campaign Interactions

The Analytics page of SiteGround Email Marketing provides insights into the effectiveness of your campaigns.

Along with detailed statistics on your campaign’s performance, you can find comprehensive information about your recipients’ activities, allowing you to segment your contacts based on their actions.

Here’s how to segment contacts based on their interactions with your campaigns:

  1. Log into your Client Area > Services > Email Marketing.
  2. Press Manage for the selected service.
  3. Go to the Analytics section.
  4. Click on the name of the campaign you wish to examine.

  5. In the Interactions section, open the Recipient Activity tab.
  6. Open the Action menu and select an interaction type. All recipients who performed the selected action will be listed below.

  7. Check the box in front of the chosen recipient (or check the Email box to select all recipients).
  8. Open the Bulk Actions menu and select Assign Group.

  9. The following pop-up window allows you to assign one or several of your existing groups. If you prefer, you can create a brand new group specifically for these contacts.
  10. Confirm your selection with the Save button.

You can then target the recipients who performed these actions by creating and sending campaigns exclusively for them.
