How to Point a Domain to SiteGround

When you are creating a website with Site Builder using a domain registered elsewhere that is not yet pointed to SiteGround, a warning will appear, indicating the need to update your domain’s name servers.

This step is necessary to ensure your site is accessible using your chosen domain name.

To point your name servers to SiteGround, log in to the management panel of your domain registrar. This might be your previous hosting provider or another service where your domain is registered. Once logged in, update the DNS settings for the name servers.

Use the following SiteGround name servers:

ns1.siteground.net
ns2.siteground.net

You can find specific instructions for registrars like Bluehost, GoDaddy, HostGator, DreamHost, Namecheap, and Google Domains.

Note: Once you’ve updated the name servers, the warning in your SiteBuilder will disappear. However, please be aware that DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate.
