How to Enable Gravatars in WordPress?
Gravatar stands for Globally Recognized Avatar. Users can create their avatar on gravatar.com, and once it’s set up, it will automatically appear on any site that supports Gravatar whenever they use their linked email address.
Starting from WordPress 2.5, Gravatars are built in and don’t require any additional plugins for basic usage and management.
To check if Gravatars are enabled on your site:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Discussion.
- Scroll to the Avatars section.
- Check the box that says Show Avatars.
If you want to turn them off – for example, to speed up your site or because you use a different comment system – simply uncheck the box and save your settings.
