How to Create Different Product Variations

Creating product varieties with attributes like size, color, and material helps customers find exactly what they want. It makes inventory management more accurate, ensuring precise stock levels and enabling targeted promotions based on specific variations.

To create product variations, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Site Admin > Store Manager > Products section.

  2. On the Products page, select a product and click on the three dots menu to Edit it. Alternatively, you can simply click on the name of the product you want to edit.

  3. On the product’s page, scroll down to the “With Variations?” dropdown menu and select Yes.

  4. A confirmation pop-up will appear, informing you that the information you have in Pricing & Inventory will change according to the new attribute settings. Click Confirm to proceed.

  5. Click on the Add Variations button to open a new pop-up window, where you can set attributes for these variations.

    NOTE: Remember that you can create up to 3 attributes per product. This means the product can have 3 main attribute variations – color, size, and material, for example.

  6. In the Attribute Name dropdown, select an existing attribute, or type a new one.

  7. In the Storefront Label field identify how this attribute will be read by customers.

  8. Choose the Attribute Display Format from the dropdown.

  9. Add the attribute values in the Values field. Choose existing values if they are available, or add new ones by hitting Enter after each value.

  10. To add another attribute, click the Add Attribute button.
  11. Press Save to confirm the attributes and create the variations.

    NOTE: New attributes will be saved in the Attributes section under Store Manager, so they can be reused for other products.

  12. All combinations of all attributes will be listed under the Pricing & Inventory section, where you can set the respective details for each variation, e.g., price, quantity, etc.
  13. When ready, hit the Save button in the upper right corner to implement the changes in your store.

There you have it! Your product variations are live on your website, allowing you to create targeted promotions.
