How to Add a Product to a Category?
To organize your inventory better, you can add products to categories you’ve created for your Ecommerce. You can assign categories while editing existing products or adding new products.
- To create a new product, navigate to Site Admin > Store Manager > Products, and press the New Product button.
- To edit an existing product, click on its name or select its corresponding Actions (kebab) menu > Edit.
- Inside the product editor, select the Categorization tab. The page will list all categories you’ve created for your store in the Categories menu.
- Check the box of the category for the product. Hit the Save button to confirm your choice.
- If you haven’t got any categories yet or you must create a new category for the product, click on the Add New Category button.
- In the new pop-up window, type the new category name. Optionally, you can choose a parent category from the menu Parent Category. Once ready, confirm with the Save button.
How to Add Multiple Products to a Category
Alternatively, you can add multiple products to a category.
- On the Store Manager > Products page, check the boxes of the products you want to add to a specific category.
- Click on the Bulk Actions button and select Add to Category.
- Select the category from the dropdown menu listing all existing categories on your store and confirm with Save.
